...definitely
!
But things like this do happen from time to time:
When Joe Bridi appeard on the flying field once with his new creation,
wich was inspired by the 'EU1', w. m. it was a hughe monster, somebody
shouted out loudly: "Mama mia!".
And so also this plane got it's name on the field, Joe Bridi's 'Mama Mia':
This is a gigantic one, isn't it?! It was/is powerded only by a WEBRA 60
Speed Engine (RE, 7x12"). One of my next projects -
word!
As far as I can see Benito took a shortcut on his 'Tram 2P'. He avoided
the turtle deck and let the canopy do all the shape. I would state that this
was not his typical style because he really is one of a sophisticated designer
(see the geodetic structure of the F1A model...).
Beppe, thank you very much: you did a great job providing all this material and
also a great job for the honor of Benito Bertolani who really (!) deserves it.
I know well that many of us pattern planes enthusiasts will state the
'Blue Angel' to be the most impressive pattern plane ever designed, due
to it's wing shape and maybe due to the whole story behind it.
But, boys, take a look at the 'Komso 3':
The only problem with this plane was (and still is), that it never was sold right
in the US, also not today. That would make a completely different picture.
(When I discussed this plane via email once with Mickey Walker, the founder of the
Senior
Pattern
Association (USA) he answered:
Nobody ever nailed me with informations
about the 'Kosmo 3'.)
