Hi all,
Sorry to write in english, but my german is like 5 words...
I got free kit of legendary Zaunkönig from my dear friend Pilot Robert ( youtube Robert Petrinčič). Since I promised to assamble kit and fly that model, I ordered spare parts for my 2000year Estes Cox Black Widow 049 engine. When opened kit from https://www.rcwebshop.eu/product/11...bi-plane-dubbeldekker-doppeldecker-420mm-span I was like what happened here, plans were not in scale, parts were like not in scale and don’t fit together, it all looked like bigest nightmare... since I didn’t want to dissapoint Robert and Leo who send free kit, only way was to go with hole new model. It took few hours and all parts were designed in cad. For wings I used Compufoil 3D sw.
So here is my edition of legendary Simprop Zaunkönig biplane ( or like Pilot Robert would say: bueatiful and sexi bisexual Zaunkönig plane)
Most of parts are from 1,5mm balsa wood, tail from 3mm balsa and internal construction of fuselage out of poplar plywood. I also udes some 0,4mm avio ply and carbon fiber tubes 2 and 4mm. It took me about 3 days to finish most of model. Still need to cover it with oralight covering film and instal electronics and engine.
Empty weight so far without electronics and with covered top wing is 70,45g, hope to get model ready to fly under 200g.
