Hi Doug,
let me try to answer my Austrian view on this:
1) the boat is not only a foiler, so it shall depend on the wind conditions if setup as foiler or not. In non foiling mode I believe strongly the middle line setup has advantages significant enough to go down this route. For Foiling mode you might be right that dual rudder has advantages but again I doubt it has. In our scale Water is too dense that the positive effects (controllability) is outweighing the additional drag induced with two rudders. Note this is a personal opinion, I have no proof or claim no proof that this is the case
2) the size matches Mini40 class rules, we have a hard time to come to enough sailors for that class already, this is what we kept on telling you in the other thread: we don't think a new class is helping anything, foiling multihulls for me only make sensse if they match 2M or Min40 class rules (the two established classes in France, Germany, Austria for sure), a new class will mean you are alone at the lake and then regatta sailing is obsolete.
